All, I am arranging a parachute jump this year and was wondering if any of you would be interested in doing this….Actually I have jumped with these guys before and it was brilliant fun!! If any one has thought about parachuting but never had the chance here it is!!
A few friends and I have decided that we will be taking the plunge during summer, if anyone is interested in joining us please mail me your details so I can make the arrangements etc. I have added all the relevant details below for your information but should you need anything more please would you let me know.
I will need to put down a deposit to secure our booking for the 21st June so please would you give me as early an indication of attendance as possible. I will need to sort payment out with you directly by 1st June and will need final numbers so I can make the relevant bookings.
My contact details are as follows: Mobile: 0787 671 7922
Details are...

Suggestion: Probably the best option is for us all to meet at the airfield on the morning of the 21st June 2008 and take up the option of Bunk room accommodation, giving us all the option of having a couple of necessary drinks the evening before we jump!!! I will be driving from London and have space enough for three.
The costs indicated above are priced on one person jumping, for additional jumpers there is a discount, however the difference will be given to the Falcon College Overseas Trust as part of Charities on going fund raising efforts for 2008. If you would just prefer to make a donation and not jump please feel free to do so, you can find details of how to do this from the www.falconoldboys.co.uk web page under the “events” tab.
I hope to see as many of you as possible there….!!!
Regards,
John Laing
This sort of fundraising is critical to the future survival of the College. Both Andy Laing and Reg Querl have suffered seriously for their efforts, and the rest of the staff across all departments seem to be defying the law of gravity in keeping the school going. However, they cannot continue to swim against the tide without our help. Falcon, to a large extent, gave us all a step up to where we are now, and the products of institutions like Falcon are the only hope that Zimbabwe has for the future.
We’re not looking for you to sponsor the team a fortune – all we’re looking for is the equivalent cost of a round of drinks or a night out. If you’ve got an underpaid job and an oversized mortgage and your night out is a trip to the local kebab shop, that’s cool! If it’s a few hundred pound for a theatre and posh restaurant, that will, of course, be even better! Obviously if you’re earning rands or US/Aus dollars as opposed to the mighty pound or euro, no pressure – it’s still a fortune by Zim standards!
Please pass the details of the Falpara Wings Challenge (and this sponsorship request!) through to any FOBs/FOGs who are not on Bushtick and hope as many of you as possible can make it to North London on 21st June to support the team.
