Impressions of Falcon in 2004

To mark Falcon’s Fiftieth year, the grounds were festooned with 50th banners and memorabilia was on sale throughout the day. This included a range of T-shirts especially designed for the 50th, key-rings and notebooks with the 50th logo, and at the other end of the spectrum a select range of silver jewelry designed and manufactured by Patrick Mavros . An unusual item was “Amangorula”, a liqueur made by one of the Science masters and largely consisting of generous amounts of cream, brandy and mango juice! Parents bought generously and close to $15 million was made that afternoon. (That will sound more impressive than it actually is to those who have been overseas for sometime and are not used to number of -000s that inflation has added to the price of things!).  The picture below show's the stall run by Linda Moss.

All in all, in spite of setbacks and anxieties generated by the weather it was a successful day and well supported by parents in spite of falling in the middle of a week.
