Hot off the press I can let you all know we have a booking at "The Berkshire" for lunch followed by 18 holes on the Red course - on 4th September this year. Cost to players will be £80 each for a day out that is worth considerably more in the market place and funds raised will be for the Falcon College Overseas Trust.

Here are the details of what's happening....

We already have half a dozen players committed to play - I'll be there with one of my sons and the suggested challenge would be UK FOBs against the FOBs from the rest of the world, but let's see who signs up first!.

I can vouch for the wonderful day we had last time - playing out of Tim Hawkins' divots (as he had been at the Berkshire a few days before us) on the course used for the British Amateur Championship a few weeks earlier.

Ideally we would have 20 golfers there and I hope we can get some interest from FOBs in North America to time a visit to the UK to coincide with it, and maybe some from South Africa or mainland Europe as well?

Does anyone have contact with Robert Fulton who is allegedly somewhere in the southern USA? He used to love cracking balls across main field. What about the Gilberts or the Anfields or Bob Warren?

If we can get 20 players this could become a regular FOB event.

We need your support everyone!! If you want to play, get in touch with me at rogerph100@gmail.com  If you can't make it, you can still help out by sponsoring us, and of course all proceeds go to the Falcon College Overseas Trust.

Cheers,

Roger Phillips
